Trying Chinese Calligraphy in Beijing

I tried Chinese calligraphy for the first time, and it was a really interesting experience. Youpeng helped me grind the ink and showed me how to hold the brush. He suggested I write “一帆风顺,” which means “may everything go smoothly.” At first it was not easy, but after a few tries I started to enjoy it. The whole process felt very calm and relaxing. It’s definitely something special I wouldn’t experience as a normal tourist.
